How it started...
When the opportunity came to transform a small space into something meaningful, my friends and I came together with one big idea: create more than just a coffee shop. We envisioned a place where people could slow down, connect, and make Deloulou part of their everyday routine...a true third place for the Fort Worth community. Deloulou is a place for people to feel inspired and The name blends a little delusion (in the best way, because no dream is too big) with my brand name, Marieloulou.
From the very beginning, every detail has been intentional. From our signature red and navy color palette to the inspirational quote tucked into every order, Deloulou was designed to bring a youthful, uplifting energy to every guest who visits. Built inside a 20-foot shipping container, what started as an ambitious vision became reality after just six weeks of hard work, creativity, and determination.
Today, Deloulou serves everything from handcrafted espresso drinks to what we proudly believe is Fort Worth's best ceremonial-grade matcha. We're also home to my brand Marieloulou, with the brand's warehouse and offices housed in the very same building complex.
Apart from me, our team includes three recent high school graduates beginning their college journeys and a high school senior. None of us had ever opened a coffee shop before. We learned everything from the ground up perfecting recipes, mastering espresso, understanding food safety standards, and navigating the countless challenges of building a business. It wasn't easy, but every obstacle made us stronger and brought us closer together. Deloulou is proof that age doesn't define what's possible. With passion, perseverance, and a shared vision, we've created more than a coffee shop, we've built a community.
